“Say What You Mean” live performance clip

Here’s a clip of “Say What You Mean” that we performed at RockFEST 2008, a fundraiser for Homeless Children’s Network on March 29th, 2008. Our direct feed audio didn’t work out so we had to use the camera’s audio. It’s listenable but you can hear the mic giving out now and again. Check it.

APRIL 19th - RECYCLE Your VINYL!

Come celebrate our music legacy and help cultivate the next generation of music legends to emerge from our Bay Area music community - at the same time, clear your clutter and save the planet through creative recycling/reuse!

The vinyl records that we collect will be creatively recycled into fun, usable products - proceeds from the sales will help us support kids music education! Just in case you can’t quite part with your beloved records, ask us about custom orders and/or our vinyl to digital transfer service!

So bring out your old school vinyl that is ready to move on to the next life (as bits on a disk or bits in toybox), unless they are old Beatles and Beach Boys records. Those you can just give to me for my collection. Seriously.

VAGABOOM! with think13 becomes Official!

We’re so proud to announce that we are now officially a NON-PROFIT, under the fiscal sponsorship of the
IHCenter in Malibu, CA.

Coming up this Monday, Mar 24th and 25th, we begin our first VAGABOOM! with think13 sessions on Treasure Island, with the Boys and Girls Club.

We will soon have a website for VG! and will also have video footage and photos to post next week from our Treasure Island sessions.

If you live in SF proper, check out the local Pirate Cat Radio 87.9 FM. Local bands, local DJs and local people do their thing from this neato radio station / corner cafe. We’re on the daily rotation so if you listen in, you might catch some think13 too!

VAGABOOM! with think13 update

We’re so excited to announce that we are beginning our first VAGABOOM! with think13 sessions on March 24th and 25th, on Treasure Island, in conjunction with the Boys and Girls Club.
This fun and educational workshop, has 13 (of course!) instructors and teachers, many of whom are performers with think13, that will fuse Art, Drum-making and Music, Acrobatics, Circus Skills and Acting, to produce a short production, called The Magical Dream.

Our mission is to unite Youth from diverse ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds and aid them in building confidence and self-esteem as they overcome and/or perfect their performance obstacles and together, build this unique show.
Our focus is on encouraging physical confidence, teamwork, and a great deal of fun while giving Youth an opportunity to learn to trust their own natural performance talents through arts education.

This will be the first of MANY workshops, Summer camps and 5-week programs. We’ll keep you updated on future events, and please send me, Dee, an email if you would like info on future programs and dates and for volunteer opportunities.

Also, many thanks to Dr. Herron for the honour to be asked to be a motivational speaker on career day at the school of the Sacred Heart, March 20th, in San Francisco. I’m delighted to help to encourage Youth to follow their dreams and believe in themselves….. makes the work I do so worthwhile.

think13 on Kaua’i Community Radio, Hawai’i

I recently was on a retreat in Kaua’i, and was delighted to get connected with so many wonderful, beautiful people, including DJ Thomas Kelleher, who has his own show on Kaua’i’s community radio. Thanks so much to Thomas for taking the time to listen to our music and all his great feedback.
